Friends of God!
So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. Exodus 33:11
Quick question: Who’s your best friend? What makes them your best friend? Maybe you tell them secrets or you hang out all the time or you help each other when things get hard. That’s what friends do!
Here’s something that might blow your mind: Did you know YOU can be God’s friend? Not just someone who believes in God or goes to church—an actual FRIEND of God!
In the Old Testament, only a couple of people were called God’s friends. Abraham was called “the friend of God.” Moses talked to God “face to face, as a man speaks to his friend.” That’s pretty special! These guys had such close relationships with God that God trusted them with important jobs.
But here’s the super cool part: Jesus told His disciples (and that includes us if we follow Him!), “I don’t call you servants anymore...I call you FRIENDS!” (John 15:15, ICB). Jesus wants to be your friend! Not just your boss, not just someone you obey from far away, but your actual friend! What makes Jesus your friend? Well, friends talk to each other (that’s prayer!). Friends spend time together (reading the Bible and going to church). Friends trust each other (that’s faith!). And friends stick together no matter what (Jesus promises to NEVER leave you!).
Take Action: Talk to Jesus today like you’d talk to your best friend. Tell Him about your day, what you’re worried about, what makes you happy, what you need help with. Remember, He’s not just the God of the universe. He’s YOUR friend!

PARTNER WITH us

As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, the importance of family has always been a core value in my life. I have been a pastor for decades, watching families grow and generation after generation come up in faith. That is why Bible Strong Kids is so important to me. What better legacy to leave for our children and grandchildren than to raise them up in faith, strengthening them for the journey ahead all the way into adulthood?
I hope you will join us in this endeavor to create the next generation of Bible Strong Kids—children who know their worth in God’s eyes and are equipped to shine His light in an increasingly dark world.
