Imagine you’re playing a really hard video game and you’re stuck on a level. You keep trying and trying, but you just can’t figure it out! What do you do? You might ask someone who’s already beaten that level for help, right?

Life is kind of like that! Sometimes we face situations when we don’t know what to do. Maybe you’re having trouble with a friend at school or you’re not sure how to handle a bully or you can’t decide between two choices. That’s when you need wisdom!

In the Bible, there was a king named Solomon. When God asked him what he wanted, Solomon could have asked for money, fame, or anything! But instead, Solomon asked for wisdom—the ability to make good choices and understand difficult situations. And God was so happy with Solomon’s request that He gave him wisdom AND all the other stuff too!

In the Bible, James wrote that when we need wisdom, all we have to do is ASK GOD! And here’s the super cool part: God doesn’t get annoyed or roll His eyes at us. He gives wisdom “liberally,” which means He gives it generously and freely! He WANTS to help you figure things out!

Take Action: This week whenever you’re facing a tough decision or confusing situation, try this: Stop and pray! Ask God, “Please give me wisdom about this situation.” It can be a quick, simple prayer. God promises He’ll help you know what to do! You might get an idea right away, or you might figure it out later. But trust that God heard your prayer and He’s going to guide you!
