Today’s devotion

Better Together!
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Acts 2:42, NIV
What do you like doing with your friends? Playing games? Watching movies? Just talking? Having friends to do life with makes everything better!
Did you know that God created us to need other people? It’s true! Even though texting and video games can connect us online, nothing replaces hanging out with real friends in real life. Actually, studies show that lots of people feel alone, even when they have a ton of friends online.
That’s one reason God gave us the Church! Right after Jesus went back to heaven, His followers started meeting together regularly. Today’s verse tells us what they did. They learned from the Bible together. They spent time together (that’s what “fellowship” means). They shared meals together. They prayed together.
When Christians hang out together, awesome things happen! You can encourage each other when you’re feeling down. You can pray for each other when things are hard. You can remind each other what’s true when someone starts to doubt. You can celebrate together when good things happen. You’re better together!
Do you have Christian friends who help you follow Jesus? Do you have a church where you can learn and grow? If you do, thank God for them! If you don’t, ask Him to help you find your people. You weren’t meant to do this alone!
Take Action: Next time you have a chance to spend time with a friend who also believes in Jesus, tell them one thing you learned from the Bible recently. And ask them what God has been teaching them. That’s fellowship in action!

PARTNER WITH us

As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, the importance of family has always been a core value in my life. I have been a pastor for decades, watching families grow and generation after generation come up in faith. That is why Bible Strong Kids is so important to me. What better legacy to leave for our children and grandchildren than to raise them up in faith, strengthening them for the journey ahead all the way into adulthood?
I hope you will join us in this endeavor to create the next generation of Bible Strong Kids—children who know their worth in God’s eyes and are equipped to shine His light in an increasingly dark world.
