Start Building!
Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock. Matthew 7:24
Imagine you get a brand-new LEGO® set for your birthday. You pull out the instruction booklet and study every single page. You memorize which pieces go where. But then you set the booklet down and walk away. The pieces stay in the bag. That’s silly, isn’t it? Here’s the thing: knowing how it’s built isn’t actually building anything—not a single brick! You have to actually pull out the pieces and put it together to have a set that you can enjoy.
That’s kind of like when Jesus told a story about two builders: one built his house on solid rock and one built his house on sand. When the storms came and the floods rose up, the house on the rock stood firm, but the house on the sand came crashing down. Jesus explained the wise builder is a person who hears His words and DOES them.
Did you catch that? Jesus didn’t say the wise person is the one who knows the most Bible verses. You can know that Jesus said “love your neighbor” and still walk right past the kid sitting alone. It’s like memorizing the instruction booklet but never opening the bag of bricks! Storms come to everybody—hard days, sad days, scary moments. But when you build your life on Jesus’ words, you’ll be standing on solid rock when the storm hits.
Take Action: Turn one of Jesus’ teachings into an actual build this weekend! Pick one specific thing Jesus taught (maybe “forgive others,” “tell the truth,” or “be kind”). Then decide exactly what you’ll do and when. If you picked forgiveness, name the person you’ll forgive and go tell them today. If you picked kindness, name one person and one kind thing you’ll do for them before bedtime. Write it down so you don’t forget—then go do it! Don’t leave Jesus’ words sitting in the bag. Start building!

PARTNER WITH us

As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, the importance of family has always been a core value in my life. I have been a pastor for decades, watching families grow and generation after generation come up in faith. That is why Bible Strong Kids is so important to me. What better legacy to leave for our children and grandchildren than to raise them up in faith, strengthening them for the journey ahead all the way into adulthood?
I hope you will join us in this endeavor to create the next generation of Bible Strong Kids—children who know their worth in God’s eyes and are equipped to shine His light in an increasingly dark world.
