Anything You Want!
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5
Imagine God came to you and said, “Ask Me for anything you need, and it’s yours.” What would you say? That actually happened to a young man in the Bible named Solomon. His dad was King David, and when David died, Solomon became king. He was only about twenty years old, and suddenly he was in charge of an entire nation!
One night, God came to Solomon in a dream and told him to ask for whatever he wanted (1 Kings 3:5). Solomon could have asked for anything: piles of gold, a long life, or a giant army to defeat his enemies. But instead, Solomon asked God for “an understanding heart” so he could lead God’s people well. He wanted wisdom, which is the ability to know the right thing to do.
God was so happy with that answer that He gave Solomon wisdom—and then gave him the other stuff too. Here’s the best part: you don’t have to be a king like Solomon to ask for wisdom. The Bible says that anyone who needs wisdom can just ask God for it, and He’ll give it generously, without holding back. God doesn’t want you to feel bad or silly for asking. He gives it happily!
Take Action: Think of one situation this week when you don’t know what to do. Maybe two friends are fighting and both want you on their side. Maybe there’s a class that feels way too hard. Maybe someone said something, and you can’t figure out how to respond. Now do this: say it out loud to God. “God, I need wisdom about ______. Show me what to do.” Then keep your eyes open this week for an idea, a Bible verse, or a wise grown-up who helps you see it clearly. That’s God answering!

PARTNER WITH us

As a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, the importance of family has always been a core value in my life. I have been a pastor for decades, watching families grow and generation after generation come up in faith. That is why Bible Strong Kids is so important to me. What better legacy to leave for our children and grandchildren than to raise them up in faith, strengthening them for the journey ahead all the way into adulthood?
I hope you will join us in this endeavor to create the next generation of Bible Strong Kids—children who know their worth in God’s eyes and are equipped to shine His light in an increasingly dark world.
